About
Photography is my passion, my greatest hobby and has been a large part of my career thus far. It began back in the late 90's/early 2000's, getting my hands on 35mm cameras, insta film cameras and polaroids, before finally getting my first digital compact in 2004. From then on, I have chased the technology until today shooting with a Canon 5DMk4, primarily for studio work, and mirrorless Canon EOS R for on set work.
Unit Stills
I shoot high quality production and behind the scenes images. I love the challenge of working on set, capturing images that tell the story, whilst remaining as inconspicuous as possible. I strive to supply images quickly after the day of shooting, with basic edits where required.
Studio Iconic
I have shot studio iconic images for a number of years for Bafta award winning CBBC drama 'The Dumping Ground', as well as '4 'Oclock Club', 'Secret Life of Boys' and 'Lagging'. I have all the necessary equipment to set up a mobile studio within a couple of hours. I normally shoot against a white backdrop as it makes it easy to remove if necessary, however, should a specific background be required, I am able to supply them.
I shoot photographs away from set and studio, both professionally and personally. I enjoy capturing landscape and portrait images when I can, having often been lucky enough to shoot whilst travelling to parts of the world, and environments, I never could have dreamed to visit or work in.
As a qualified PADI SCUBA instructor, I love shooting underwater images, whether it be a simple sea scape, a shy octopus or a tiny Seahorse.
I have also provided visual effects shots to numerous CBBC shows. My interest in film, when choosing to pursue further education in 2005/2006, was 3D modelling and animation. That was largely put to the side when I began working in the camera department, but in 2016 I was asked to provide some Visual Effects shots for Bafta Award winning CBBC show Wolfblood. Since then I have taken every opportunity to work in this craft further. It is more than a job for me, it is also a hobby and passion. I often spend my free time working on modelling and effects, learning new techniques and industry software.
